Welcome to Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance.
Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance (MACD) is a modern dance company based in upstate NewYork exploring both lush and comedic work. Melanie's work is accessible to all audiences and offers viewers a new perspective or insight on a particular concept often leaving the audience with an "ah ha!" moment of satisfaction. Her desire is to inspire, to inform and to challenge audiences to perceive more fully.
Melanie’s current focus is working with musicians, integrating them into her work in both subtle and prominent ways, as well as choreographing the performance of their own work. Not simply a soundtrack to the dance, the music is a driving force and an inspiration in the creation and performance of Melanie’s work.
